Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 22, 2026. This policy explains how WotWP uses cookies and similar browser technologies. WotWP is operated by WotAI.

What these technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage and browser identifiers. Some are needed for security or to remember a choice; optional analytics technologies help measure website use.

Essential technologies

Consent choice

WotWP stores wotwp-analytics-consent in local storage after you choose “Only essential” or “Allow analytics.” Its value is either essential or analytics. This prevents the consent banner from appearing on every page. The choice remains until you use Cookie preferences or clear site data in your browser.

Internal testing marker

Authorized WotWP operators can intentionally set wotwp-internal-traffic in local storage to label their own browser’s analytics as internal. The marker contains only the value 1, remains until deliberately cleared, and does not load analytics unless “Allow analytics” has also been chosen. It is used to keep WotWP’s own testing separate from ordinary reporting.

Cloudflare and Turnstile

Cloudflare provides site delivery and security. The candidate-site form loads Cloudflare Turnstile as an essential spam-prevention control whether or not you allow analytics. Turnstile may use cookies, local storage, a challenge token, and browser, device, network, or interaction signals needed to distinguish people from automated traffic. WotWP does not use Turnstile to read form entries.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics and PostHog are not loaded before you choose “Allow analytics.” If you allow them:

  • Google Analytics may use first-party measurement cookies, including _ga, and browser identifiers to report visits, sessions, approximate location, device or browser information, referring sources, and configured events.
  • PostHog may use first-party cookies or local storage and an anonymous or pseudonymous browser identifier to measure page views, page leaves, and WotWP’s limited custom events.

WotWP’s custom events cover analytics consent, CTA clicks, and whether the candidate form was started, completed, or encountered an error. They do not include candidate-form answers. PostHog autocapture and session recording are disabled.

Cookie names and provider-controlled lifetimes may change as the providers update their services. See Google Analytics cookie usage and PostHog persistence documentation for provider details.

Your choices

Choose “Only essential” to keep Google Analytics and PostHog off, or “Allow analytics” to load them. You can reopen the choice from the Cookie preferences button in the footer on every page.

Opening preferences clears WotWP’s stored choice, opts this browser out of PostHog, and reloads the page so neither analytics provider loads again unless you choose “Allow analytics.” This control does not necessarily delete analytics cookies already stored or data already received by a provider. Use your browser’s site-data controls to inspect or delete existing cookies and local storage.

Changes to this policy

WotAI may update this policy when WotWP’s technology or practices change. The revised policy will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.

Your choice

We use Google Analytics and PostHog only if you allow analytics. Essential site functions always work.
